What Rebirth Does

Rebirth is a Power-focused progression system in BE A FISH BAIT. Power controls how far your bait travels on each cast — higher Power skips low-rarity zones and reaches extinct-tier waters where the most valuable fish spawn. Without rebirths, your Power gain rate eventually plateaus no matter how long you train.

Each rebirth applies a permanent multiplier to Power gained from weight training. The default rate is 1x; every rebirth level stacks additional multiplier on top. After rebirthing you lose your current Power number, but rods, aquarium stock, cash, auras, and other stats remain untouched. This is not a full progress wipe like classic simulators.

The Rebirth button on the right side of the HUD opens the requirement panel. When your Power meets the threshold, confirm the rebirth and immediately return to training — you will surpass your old peak faster thanks to the new multiplier.

Maximum Rebirth Level

The Sci-Fi Update raised the Rebirth cap from 10 to 11. Reaching max rebirth takes several hours of routine weight training spread across sessions — you do not need to grind it in one sitting. Equip the Sci-Fi Training Weight when you own it; older weights still work for earlier rebirths. Players who ignore rebirths hit a soft wall where cast distance stops growing even with better weights. If you see the same fish pool repeating for hours, check your rebirth level before blaming bad luck.

When to Rebirth

Rebirth as soon as you meet the Power threshold unless you are mid-fishing during a rare weather window. There is no advantage to hoarding excess Power beyond the requirement — the multiplier matters more than the number displayed.

Early players often rebirth once or twice before investing heavily in aquarium slots. Mid-game players rebirth on cooldown while alternating with aura farming and rod upgrades. Late-game players push toward Rebirth 11 before min-maxing extinct-zone farms.

Pair rebirth cycles with the power training guide: upgrade weights when affordable, train in VIP for aura side goals, then rebirth when the HUD flashes readiness.

Rebirth vs Other Systems

Rebirth multiplies training efficiency; rods unlock zones; auras multiply income and mutation odds; aquarium stores long-term value. None replaces another. A Rebirth 5 player with a weak rod still fishes starter waters — fix gear in parallel, not sequentially.
