How We Rank
Tier lists on this wiki reflect community consensus, income math, and post-Aura Maxxing balance. Categories split into auras, rods, and fish because each answers a different question — auras for account-wide buffs, rods for zone access and reel speed, fish for sell and aquarium value.
Tiers use S through F shorthand. S-tier items define the meta; A-tier items are excellent replacements; B-tier items are viable until you upgrade; C and below are stepping stones or traps for new players. Rankings update when VoidDeckStudios patches numbers or when Discord theorycraft confirms shifts.
Auras Tier List
Auras dominate long-term efficiency. Sell value and aquarium income auras usually occupy S-tier because they multiply every economic action. Reel speed auras rank high for active farmers. Mutation chance auras spike in value once your rod reaches mid-game zones. Luck auras are situational — strong for wheel farmers, weaker for pure idle builds.

Rods Tier List
Rod tiers map to zones. The rod tier list orders purchases by ROI, not cosmetic rarity. Early rods matter more than late rods per dollar because they unlock the first aquarium-worthy species. Late rods are luxury gates for leaderboard fish.
Fish Value Tier List
Fish rankings weigh active sell price, aquarium per-minute rate, catch difficulty, and mutation potential. A hard-to-catch legendary that fishes once per hour may rank below a reliable uncommon with mutation odds. The fish tier list breaks species by zone.
Use all three lists together: rod tier unlocks zone, fish tier picks targets, aura tier multiplies results.
